FAQs

Here are some answers to the most common questions we receive. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us here!

  • Memberships for the Atlantic Pickleball Club are now available through our website. We have many options for all ages, physical ability, skill level, and budget. Visit our membership page for all the details and to purchase yours today.

  • We have memberships available, but we also welcome non-members. Everyone is invited to come and play at our facility, and we are excited to see you there!

  • To provide the best possible experience, Open Play sessions generally require a minimum of 4-5 registered players to run.

While some low-registration sessions may be canceled more than 24 hours in advance, Atlantic Pickleball Club may also keep sessions open until closer to the scheduled start time to allow additional players the opportunity to register. This is particularly common during periods of poor weather, when last-minute registrations are more frequent.

If a low-registration session remains on the schedule, a final decision will be made no later than 4 hours prior to the scheduled start time. If the Open Play does not reach the minimum of 4 registered players, the session will be canceled, and all registered participants will receive an email notification. Any Open Play credits used to register will be automatically returned to the participant's account.

Please note that if you choose to withdraw from an Open Play on the day of the session, your Open Play credit will be forfeited in accordance with our standard cancellation policy.

Before leaving for Atlantic Pickleball Club, we encourage all participants to check their booking in the APC App to ensure there are sufficient players registered. While our staff will do their best to monitor and manage low-registration sessions, player availability can change quickly, and last-minute withdrawals do occur.

Looking to help fill your session? Be sure to use the APC Community Chat to connect with other players and invite them to join your Open Play.

  • A guest pass covers one guest’s court fee for a 2-hr full-court rental (peak and non-peak) or an open play session. One guest pass equals the non-member rate. A guest pass will be provided on a request basis.

  • They are important to help us allocate additional courts.  If there are players on the waitlist, we will (where possible) add additional courts for that session. If sessions are full and you’re interested in attending, please put your name on the waitlist. If a space becomes available, you will receive a notification to join the session.

  • Your membership level offers you privileges; please use them. We are constantly monitoring interest in sessions. If we see certain sessions are seeing no interest, we will reallocate those courts to other groups where interest is stronger. Thus, if there are sessions you may be interested in attending, it is important that you register. It might entice others to join you.

  • Court Captains are APC members who volunteer their time to join beginner-friendly court sessions, open plays, or scheduled court bookings to help guide players through the basics of both the game and the club environment.

Court Captains are there to play alongside participants while helping guide and support the session. They are not coaches and are not there to stop play, run drills, or interrupt the flow of games. Their role is to participate, encourage, and help players feel more confident and comfortable on the court.

Court Captains will regularly be added to Beginner Open Plays, especially during sessions with lower registration numbers, to help create a fun, social, and welcoming environment for newer players.

Beginner players or groups booking a private court rental who would like a Court Captain to join their session are encouraged to let APC know in advance.
